A dedicated small group has been grooming for a number of years. If you would
like to become a member of the grooming team, please contact one of the officers.
Keeping the trails in top condition is NOT a job just for the grooming team, but is a job
that INCLUDES everyone who uses the trails. In keeping with that responsibility, we ask that
everyone cooperate by NOT bringing their dogs to the trails, and that everyone restrict the use
of the groomed trails to skis, NO snowmobiles, please. If you walk, use snowshoes, or pull a
sled to the warming hut to transport gear, please stay beside the tracks, not on them.
The ski
club is asking everyone who uses the trails at Chief Joe to pay attention to the one-way trail
signs. The single track trails that are designated one-way are often in areas that are narrow,
and someone coming in the opposite direction could cause a collision that might result in an
injury, so please respect the one-way signs. Thanks.
